Terms of Service

NoAgency ("we", "our", "the platform") is an online marketplace operated from Nigeria that connects people looking to rent an apartment ("rent-seekers") with people offering an apartment for rent ("listers"), including outgoing tenants and homeowners.

NoAgency is not an estate agent, broker, letting agent, property manager, landlord, or party to any tenancy agreement. We do not own, let, sublet, manage, inspect, value, insure, or guarantee any property listed on the platform. Every tenancy is a private contract between the rent-seeker and the lister.

To reduce fraud, we verify user identity through reputable third-party identity and security vendors (for example BVN, NIN, government ID and liveness checks). Verification helps establish that a person exists and is who they claim to be. It does not confirm that a lister owns the property they post, that a listing is accurate, or that any transaction will complete as expected. You are responsible for satisfying yourself of the facts before you pay any money or sign any tenancy agreement.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter contracts to use NoAgency. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and be responsible for all activity on your account. You may not create duplicate or impersonation accounts.

If you post a listing, you represent and warrant that:

• You own the property, or you are the current tenant with the landlord's written permission to sublet or transfer, or you are the landlord's authorised representative.
• Every fact in the listing (address, rent, condition, availability, photos, video) is true, current, and belongs to that specific property.
• You will remove or update the listing promptly if it becomes inaccurate.

We may remove, hide, edit, or refuse any listing at our sole discretion, including for suspected fraud, duplication, or breach of these terms.

You agree not to:

• Post fake, duplicate, misleading, expired, or misdescribed listings.
• Impersonate another person or falsify identity documents.
• Solicit payments outside the platform in a way designed to defraud, evade fees, or bypass verification.
• Charge agency, "inspection", "form", "acceptance", or similar fees dressed up as rent.
• Harass, threaten, discriminate against, or dox any other user.
• Scrape, resell, or republish listings, media, or personal data from the platform.
• Interfere with the security or normal operation of the platform.

Breach of this section may result in immediate account termination, listing removal, forfeiture of pending payouts, and referral to law-enforcement or regulatory authorities.

Where NoAgency facilitates payments (for example through Paystack), those payments are processed by a third-party payment provider under their own terms. NoAgency is not a bank, e-money institution, or escrow agent. Refunds, chargebacks, and disputes are handled subject to the payment provider's rules and our published policies.

If you suspect fraud, a fake listing, or misconduct, use the "Report" button on the listing or profile, or email us at hello@noagency.ltd. We will investigate reasonable reports and take action where warranted. NoAgency does not adjudicate tenancy disputes between rent-seekers and listers; those are resolved between the parties, if necessary through the courts of Nigeria.

The platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, NoAgency is not liable for any loss arising from a listing, a transaction, a tenancy, the conduct of any user, or any inability to use the platform, including loss of rent, deposits, or profit. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

You agree to indemnify and hold NoAgency and its team harmless from any claim, loss, or expense arising from your breach of these terms, your listings, your dealings with other users, or your violation of any law.

We may change the platform, its features, and these terms from time to time. Where a change is material we will make reasonable efforts to notify you. Continued use after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The courts of Lagos State have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with them, subject to any right you have under mandatory consumer law.
